The conference venues, the Sir Charles Wilson Building and the Glasgow University Union, are situated on the University Gilmorehill campus in the west end of Glasgow. The opening reception is at the Glasgow Botanical Gardens at the north end of Byers Road near the University, and the conference dinner is at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, on the southern edge of the university campus.
University housing will not be available; however, there are a number of hotels nearby. Please book your accommodation directly. We highly recommend that you book your hotel early. There are other events going on in Glasgow during EEID that are competing for space!
The main local airport is Glasgow International Airport (GLA). It is also possible to fly into Edinburgh Airport (EDI). Bus transport is available from EDI to the city centre of Glasgow, which takes around 1 hour.
